We are a small family owned stud farm. Our aim is to produce horses with elegance, trainability, conformation and movement.
Our resident stallion AKADO not only has a classic pedigree with all the great horses in racing history, but has a wonderful temperament and athletic ability. He is the easiest horse to deal with and is always wanting to please and has the heart of a lion. He has produced winners in many disciplines and all his offspring are very easy to work with. All of our mares are selected for mothering, conformation, competition form, and soundness. AKADO stands at stud to select mares by private treaty.
We have many years experience in the horse industry from Nickel Coin the winner of the 1953 grand national. I have worked and trained in some of the best yards in England, France and the United states, where I had the chance to watch the great Bruce Davidson on a daily basis. From a child I visited Badmington and Burghley Horse trials, this is were I gained the love and respect for the top class competition horse, we are dedicated to breeding horses that go on to be the best in what ever they are given to do. All the horses are handled from birth and continue with their education and heath plan up until they go to their new homes, we pride ourselves in our horses and look forward to see them become successful.
The 2009 Kentucky Derby winner this year was MINE THAT BIRD who along with AKADO is also a descendent of NORTHERN DANCER (b. 1961)
